Artistic position & visual language

Marc Sepeur (1993, Saarlouis, Germany) is a contemporary painter whose work explores the tension between instinct and consciousness. His large-format works are created intuitively and oscillate between immediate emotional power and a calm, focused presence.

Impact in space & collection context

His works are found in private collections and are installed in therapeutic and contemplative spaces, including therapy practices and public places, where they act as atmospheric and transformative anchor points.

Interdisciplinary formats and immersive projects

Beyond the traditional studio, Sepeur realizes interdisciplinary formats that place painting in an expanded spatial context. His project "The Hidden Banquet ," realized at Falkenhorst Castle in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Peter Wirbel, transformed the location into an experiential landscape of light, sound, and architecture. The successive rooms allowed direct access to the visual world of his works and established Sepeur as a designer of atmospheric spaces.

His work was shown in the New Resonance project with Hendrik Schmeer.

His international museum exhibition followed in 2026 at ARMA Museum (Bali), which is considered a turning point in his career. The exhibition presented around 30 works from the Sacred Ferality series – large-format paintings, works on paper and sculptural objects – and positioned Sepeur within the context of an international collector base and an expanded Southeast Asian art market.

Working between Germany and Bali, Sepeur continuously develops an independent visual language within a contemporary, abstract understanding of art, in which materiality, myth and spatial staging merge into a coherent body of work.
